2022 and moving on

I started writing this blog as a means to share my new-found passion of integrating technology in the classroom. I have also shared presentations from conferences where I was a presenter. I created another site when I changed presenter partners (the first retired- 😪 happy for her, sad for me). The newer site has more updated presentations and perhaps a greater variety of tools to explore. You can find this at TechDogRun So if you have found yourself here and then venture over to my other site, I appreciate your interest. Technology integration is not a new thing but I hope we as educators have gotten better at it and our students are engaged in their learning.

Read and Write!

Pretty much how I find stuff is purely accidental. My thinking train has jumped so many tracks I don't even remember how I got to this. Oh wait, I was looking for resources about the Iditarod. If you read Carole Marsh books with your class, you are going to enjoy her mystery club site.
What I found were links to what look like ALL of her books, plus free printable resources. Very nice. Not being a reading/language arts teacher I have not read these books but I am very impressed with her site. Her books seem to be for grades 1-6. Her free resources might include book club activities, quizzes and more. There is also a place to submit your review of the book. A nice resource and worth a look.

TCEA 2018

We are here! Sunny warm Austin Texas.....no...pretty chilly but the people we have met are super warm and friendly. Tuesday is in the books and it was a successful day. We had a poster session "Create and Collaborate on the Clock" that went very well. And then in the afternoon we had "Enhancing Vocabulary Strategies with Technology"- also went well. If you found this blog but want to see our presentations we have a new site called Tech Dogs Run. Be sure to check it out!

Christmas Fun with Doink

Oh my goodness! Must share this one NOW.
I saw this link on Edmodo and if you use the Doink Green Screen app you will love this.
The author of the post gives you all the directions but she also gives you the file to just download and open on your iPad and use immediately. Thank you thank you thank you!

Follow this link to Tricia Fuglestad's post . Works like a charm and I am in the process of trying to decide how and who to use this with. How fun!
